New Horizons for Meaningful Collaboration

PH International is excited to expand its work in Africa with its first Africa-based grant, Algeria Fencing Futures. The Fencing Futures program, a collaboration between the U.S. Embassy in Algiers, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Algerian Fencing Federation, empowers Algerian fencers to advance both academically and athletically. It includes a weeklong camp with U.S. university coaches and scouts, offering training for local coaches, identifying talented athletes for U.S. scholarships, and fostering cultural exchange with renowned U.S. fencers.

Additionally, through the AS-DLTP (American Spaces Digital Literacy Training Program), PH has been collaborating with American Space coordinators across five African countries to provide digital literacy training, equipping participants with the critical skills needed in today’s digital world. These initiatives mark the beginning of PH’s expanding presence in Africa, driving positive social impact through sport and education.
