ACCESS Georgia
PH International Georgia has been implementing the English Access Microscholarship Program since 2011 providing an intensive, 2-year, after-school program of English language learning to disadvantaged youth. To date, Access has been implemented in 24 locations across ten regions of Georgia and 1,925 adolescents have graduated from the program. Currently, the Access program serves 650 youth throughout all regions of Georgia.
PH has developed a strong network of NGOs and local partners throughout Georgia and currently works closely with sixteen NGOs through its several programs. PH has also worked with over 1,220 schools and many universities throughout the country.
PH Georgia has developed close and favorable partner relations with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the agencies established under the Ministry including the Teacher’s House/Teachers’ Professional Development Center and the National Examination Center. PH has collaborated with these agencies under various education programs that have been supported by the American Embassy in Tbilisi and implemented by PH among them ELCE (English Language Through Civic Education 2011 – 2016), ICTE (Intensive Course for Teachers of English 2012-2017), and CTEL (Civics and Tech Through English Language 2016 – 2022). PH also has a well-established relationship with the English Teachers’ Association of Georgia serving as the main implementing partner for PH under ELCE I.
